About the event

Many of us spend our lives trying to push through or manage anxiety, overwhelm, exhaustion or emotional disconnection without understanding what our bodies are trying to communicate. In this practical and accessible online workshop, psychotherapist and somatic practitioner Greg James explores how the nervous system shapes the way we think, feel and respond to life, and how traumatic experiences can remain held within the body long after the events themselves have passed. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of why many of the symptoms we struggle with are not signs that something is wrong with us, but expressions of a system shaped by experience and working hard to protect us.

Drawing on somatic therapy, neuroscience and the newly developed  StateShift® Model, this interactive workshop combines teaching, demonstration and simple experiential exercises to help participants begin recognising their own nervous system states in real time.
